Aloha, its Alexa! Today I’m going to share 5 of my favorite packing tips for traveling. I also filmed a video that goes into more detail.
Packing Tip #1: Check the Weather
One thing I always like to do before a trip is check the weather of where I’m going on the weather app on my phone. I like to check the weather for all the days I’m going to be there, so that when I’m packing I know what types of clothes to bring for the trip. It also helps when you’re planning what you’re going to be doing on those days.
Packing Tip #2: Roll Your Clothes
When packing my clothes, I always roll my clothes up so that I have more room in my suitcase for all my other stuff. I fold my clothes up then layer them and roll them all the way up into a small compact roll. This saves so much room for all of my other travel essentials.
Packing Tip #3: Use Pouches
I like to keep all my toiletries and other little travel items together in a pouch. This keeps them organized and also helps me make sure I don’t leave anything behind. I also make sure that when I use the items that I put it back in the same pouch I got it from. This makes it easy for the next trip because you can just leave most of the items in the pouch.
Packing Tip #4: Minis
Something you should consider is bringing mini items like hair supplies, toiletries, and anything else that you don’t want to bring in a big container. They save a lot of space!
Packing Tip #4: Miscellaneous Extras
Depending on where you’re going, don’t forget the extra items like sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and some type of waterproof phone protector if you’re going somewhere that you’ll be doing a lot of swimming. Don’t forget to bring your favorite snacks, headphones, and some fun activities you can do on the plane or car ride to so you’re not bored.
I filmed a video showing you all these packing tips and exactly how I roll my clothes. Watch it here.
