Aloha, it’s Alexa. Sorry it’s been so long , but I’m pretty sure most people have gone back to school by now. So if your in school you know that your going to start getting more and more homework and projects that you have to keep track of. You also know that at some point your going to get a little unorganized, or your just an unorganized person in general. Today I’m going to share with you some tips and tricks on how to stay organized for the school year or in your everyday life.
Tip #1 – Planner
No matter what your doing your going to need a planner or agenda for you to write everything you need to remember or get done. I really like the smaller sized one rather than the normal notebook size, but you can get whatever planner you want. Also you don’t need to purchase the most expensive high tech planner you can find, you only need a basic planner with the days of the week and the months and maybe little note section in the back or tabs for the months. This school year I chose to get this pastel pink and gold planer that is super cute.
Tip #2 – Style
When your trying to stay organized a good thing is to be motivated to stay organized. So with your planner you only need a basic one but I always want the cute ones and if your like me and that’s what keeps you motivated to use it then spend that extra dollar or two to get that planner or folder/binder you need to keep you motivated. You might also want to do what I do and use cute and super colorful pens to plan and write everything out. (p.s. for everyone who knows me you might know that I’m a sucker for anything stationary that’s cute and colorful)
Tip #3 – Daily
To stay super organized I recommend writing in your planner everyday, if not after every class or thing that you have done. Writing in your planner consistently will just overall help you to not be overwhelmed or stressed.
Tip #4 – Procrastination
When you go back later in the day to look at all the stuff you have to finish in the day, don’t look at it and thin or say I’ll wait till later. You shouldn’t procrastinate or put it off till later. What you should do is look at what you have to do for that day and see what is going to take you the longest time to finish and start with that. Then later go back for what will take you shortest amount of time and finish that so you can knock everything out and hopefully still have some time to relax after.
Tip #5 – Folders / Binders
With your folders and binders I recommend that you have multiple for each subject to keep it more organized, but then you have to make sure it stays organized. You have to constantly file all your papers and clean out all the unnecessary. This way it makes it easy to find what you need without taking 20 minutes digging though you backpack or folder trying to find 1 piece of paper.
I hope this will help you to stay organized and waste as little time as possible this year. If you like this post and want to see more of it please join the ohana and go over to my YouTube channel.
